Colm Brady Appointed New Managing Director at Europcar Mobility Group in Ireland

Europcar Mobility Group has today announced the appointment of Colm Brady as its new Managing Director for Ireland. Brady will begin his new role on November 1st, 2018 taking over from current CEO Colm Menton.

This appointment takes place in line with the acceleration of the Group’s global transformation path. Since 2014, Europcar has diversified its offering at an international level beyond the historical car rental business. The Group has moved from being a car rental specialist to a global provider of mobility solutions with a wide range of services: vehicles rental, chauffeur services, car sharing, scooter sharing and peer-to-peer car sharing. Reflecting this transformation, the Europcar Group changed its name to Europcar Mobility Group in May 2018.

Working with Europcar Group for over 17 years, Colm Brady previously held the position of business development director alongside Colm Menton, playing an integral role in the growth and success of the business in Ireland and serving as Managing Director of GoCar ; Ireland’s largest car sharing service, one of the brands of the Europcar Mobility Group now diversified portfolio.

In his new position, Brady will focus on helping Europcar Mobility Group to develop in Ireland, providing individuals and businesses across the country with easy access, barrier-free and cost effective mobility solutions.

Commenting on his appointment, Colm Brady said, “It is a very proud day for me to assume the role of MD of Europcar Mobility Group in Ireland, and I’m very excited to see what the future holds. Europcar Mobility Group in Ireland has experienced considerable success in the Irish market over recent years and our vision is to continue making vehicles rental and new mobility solutions more accessible to all people across Ireland”.

“We now live an exciting age of mobility. From electric cars to autonomous cars and car sharing, people now have much more choice in terms of how they get from A to B. We intend to be at the cutting edge of mobility solutions and I look forward to leading the change in the Irish market, supported by the brilliant team here at Europcar Mobility Group in Ireland”.
